I am 89 years old, a freelance writer and author, educator, musician and ex-Innkeeper now living and writing in Vermont. It's because of Hub pages that I started writing about innkeeping. I owned a bed and breakfast for 20 years in Louisville, Ky, and, on the basis of the good feedback I got here, I turned my stories into a memoir: Operatic Divas and Naked Irishmen: An Innkeeper's Tale. It was published on June 6, 2017, and is available at Amazon and other major book outlets.

I wandered into hub pages around nine years ago and so glad I did. I love it here! The community is accepting and generous and I've made many friends. My goal was to improve my writing skills and try out new genres and styles of writing, which I did. I discovered my own unique voice and that memoir was my calling. I am now working on my second book, which is to be published in the coming year.

Since I have been here, I have had the pleasure of being voted the #1 hugnugget winner on May 27, 2009, only a couple of months after I arrived here on HubPages, with my hub, He wore a Dashiki, a personal piece about Miles Davis, and had the privilege of being interviewed by Emohealer in the January 2, 2010 Newsletter, who I am still in touch with. I then got the chance to interview Cindy Vine, a wonderful writer, and hubber, the following week. She is another writer who is still an online friend and who I've stayed in touch with.

Followers from Hubpages are more than welcome to drop by and follow my posts on Facebook, and I certainly will reciprocate.
