DIY Mirror Mosaic Wall Art
The video below demonstrates a cool project: a mosaic work of art made up of broken pieces of mirror.
This project involves breaking a mirror, so you're definitely going to need some safety glasses for this one. If you're uncomfortable with the idea of breaking a mirror yourself, you can always go to a glass shop and ask if they have any broken mirrors that they would be willing to give you for free.

Terrie Lynn from Canada on October 21, 2016:
These are great ideas. I do a lot of DIY . I used contact paper on the light switches in our farm house in the kids bedrooms. It looks great and easy to do. I also love the furniture ideas . I have redone a few pieces for only the cost of the stain . Love that it's done on a budget . Paintable wallpaper also works for cupboard doors. Keep up the great hub. Following .

Instead of wrapping paper I used a load of old Beano magazines which I stuck to the top using wallpaper paste. I also have a glass top panel which sits on top - it looks really good! Thank you for the inspiration!
