How to DIY an Adorable and Affordable Christmas Village Jar

Have you ever made a Christmas village for yourself? The kind that you build with your own little Christmas buildings and other holiday decor? It's an adorable tradition, but it can be expensive to keep up with as there are new pieces coming out every year and other fun ways to customize your village. You can do all that on a much smaller scale with a DIY jar. You can put everything you need for a Christmas village in a jar and arrange it for the holidays. Best of all? You don't need to take up half the space in your house to do it.

TikToker @makeitwithmicah took to the platform to share her creation: a DIY Christmas village made with items from the Dollar Tree. Yep, the Dollar Tree strikes again. 

Start with a clear jar and some Epsom salt. Take the jar and fill it up with Epsom salt around the bottom. You may need to find this item at Walmart or somewhere else that's affordable. Break up the smaller chunks of salt to make “snow” for the bottom of the jar.

Then take some little Christmas decorations like small trees, a tiny ceramic house, deer, etc. Micah took all of these items and pushed them down into the salt to look like they were part of the snow. When done, she added small wreaths, berries, and then put the lid on the jar. 

Voila! She had a gorgeous little Christmas DIY village jar. You can do the same — just gather up all the ingredients and make your adorable little creation, or even give them out to friends and family. It's so cute, you'll want to make several!
